Introduction
In a groundbreaking move for the global energy industry, in November 2024, ADNOC and AIQ introduced ENERGYai, the first agentic AI solution designed to enhance decision-making, sustainability, and operational efficiency across the energy value chain. The tool embodies the forward-looking outlook of the UAE to anticipate growing energy demand, and to proactively develop and deploy technologies to help meet the demand while also protecting the environment.
Developed in collaboration with G42 and Microsoft, ENERGYai brings the power of advanced AI agents trained on petabytes of ADNOC’s proprietary data, to optimize key areas in Upstream operations including development planning, and real-time process monitoring and forecasting.
The first operational, scalable version of ENERGYai is expected to be completed in mid-2025. This version will include five fully operational AI agents covering tasks within subsurface operations and will be test-deployed across several upstream assets, with plans to scale its application to thousands of additional wells.
